As an editor, a big part of my job is trend-spotting. But “fashion forecasting”, definitely extends beyond my 9 to 5 gig. It’s become second nature, and I find myself habitually on the hunt. Whether I’m covering a media event, attending a party, or shopping at a department store, I’m always scouting out the latest, greatest, newest, and coolest must-haves in fashion, beauty, accessories, and baby gear.
And, lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of… flamingos. That’s right–big, beautiful, bright pink flamingos… Flamingos on baby onesies, flamingo prints on men’s button-down shirts, flamingo-embossed shoes, flamingo pool floats–you name it, they make it. (Not sure who “they” is, but you get the idea.) Indeed, the exotic bird is making a bold statement in fashion, and I am totally on board. (It’s hot pink–how could I not be game?)
To celebrate what’s quickly becoming a favorite warm-weather look, I’ve rounded up a few fabulous flamingo-inspired finds for the whole family–from adorable pieces for Baby to cool looks for Dad (real men wear flamingo prints!).
